South Australia’s Adelaide Plains zone gives winemakers an edge in going green. The region is showered with sunshine and very moderate rainfall. Problems such as mould, odium and other forms of rot are not an issue in Adelaide, allowing wineries to avoid spraying for these conditions. The weather also keeps the insect problems in line, resulting in grapes and vineyards that were generally easy to convert to organic. Enjoy this berry-filled wine. This organic wine contains just 14 mg/L of free sulphur. My note: Some plush aromas of plums and dark fruit with dark spices and cloves on the finish. Full-bodied: a wrap-around-you wine that comforts and warms on a cold night … especially if you are alone.
