It is full-bodied with firm tannins and a long dry finish. The lingering finish features a wonderful integration of all the elements and a pleasing trace of char and spice. This version from one of Alsace’s most formidable domaines displays subtle aromas of apple, sweet citrus, grapefruit, pear and mineral notes. It’s dry with medium weight, balanced acidity and good length. Quite refreshing. My note: Pure white melon and grapefruit: refreshing and vibrant. Clean without oak. Great aperitif.
