The Good Juice – On Vintages - April 29, 2017

Six Wines to Enjoy This Weekend! - COMING TO VINTAGES! !

We have six new wines releasing at the LCBO this weekend:

Blended for purity, the Argyle Pinot Noir Willamette Valley 2014 has a nose that leans towards dark cherry, red raspberry and earthy minerality, while the middle palate is lush and graceful. On the back end, the wine builds density and focus as the silky, yet subtly firm tannins build into the long, energetic finish.

Chateau La Gorce Medoc 2011 has a generous nose with ample aromas of red fruit and spices and some wooden notes. The mouth is rich and powerful with a robust tannic structure.

Farnese Soluna Terre di Chieti IGT Sangiovese-Cabernet Sauvignon 2015 has intense and complex aromas of ripe fruit, chocolate and jam, with spicy notes from wood. Quite tannic and well balanced.

J. Lohr October Night Chardonnay 2015 has a bright, youthful straw yellow colour, and floral aromas with lemon curd, beeswax, and toasty vanilla.

Rocca delle Macie Chianti Classico Riserva Famiglia Zingarelli 2013 has a ruby red colour. The nose is ample, intense and refined, with excellent variety of aromas. The taste is warm, robust, and elegant with a persistent aroma.

Elegant and aristocratic, the Vignobles Berne Terres de Berne Rose 2016 has a nose of floral notes (freesia, peach and apricot). It is round, fruity and elegant in the mouth; eminently drinkable. A superb wine, a real delicacy, perfect served at aperitif time!

Natalie MacLean, October 15, 2016

“A dark, mouth-watering Italian red wine with black fruit and toasty oak aromas. Lots of dark plum notes and mocha on the mid-palate and finish. This robust Chianti Classico is a red wine made from the Sangiovese grape. Pair with pasta in a meat sauce or grilled meats. Decant 1 hour. Polished tannins, good concentration of flavour.”
Vignobles Berne Terres de Berne Rose 2016 +278861 $16.95

Tastings Notes
Vintages Panel

This blend of Cinsault, Grenache and Cabernet Sauvignon is sourced from chalky soils in predominantly south-facing vineyards in the heart of Provence. Bright and cheery with expressive red fruit tones, it will be an ideal sipping wine and perfect for enjoying on the patio with a platter of cold meats.
