Segura Viudas Heredad Reserva Cava +558825 $32.95

Straw yellow in colour, with a small, fine, plentiful mousse. The opening aromas are of the ageing on lees, slightly smokey, with touches of biscuit or bread, which are followed by hints of honey, fruit and flower petals. The palate is excellent, fruity and full of flavour, with dried fruits from the lees ageing, but very elegant, giving the drinker a delightful sense of abundance.

92 Pts – Natalie MacLean, June 9, 2018

“Here's your sparkling wine for the summer (and year round)! Terrific value in this well-made, toasty and refreshing bubbly from Spain that's a third of the price of Champagne. Segura is one of the most respected producers of Cava, the Spanish name for sparkling wine. Terrific earthy aromas mingle with toasted almond and some green apple. Great aperitif or try it with roast turkey, fried chicken, or yes, even potato chips. Elegant, layered, refreshing.”

Chateau de Laubade Signature bas Armagnac 700ml +455568 $39.95

Château de Laubade Signature is the latest blend of the property. It is the result of handcrafting the best Ugni-Blanc and Folle Blanche eaux-de-vie coming from the estate. The coveted know-how of a precise distillation combined with an extended ageing in our own oak casks from Gascony makes this Bas Armagnac uniquely special. The spirit was matured in Gascony oak casks. Light, sweet and floral, with hints of orange blossom, vanilla fudge and a fluttering of oak spice.

Food Pairing: To be savored as a digestive or as an aperitif. With a honey sweet curd cheese, wild strawberries and cane sugar, or paired with a light coffee.

90 Pts & Recommended & Best Buy – Michael Vaughan, Vintage Assessments, June 11, 2016

“Bright light yellow-gold colour. Elegant, fairly floral, very slightly spicy, gently nutty, plummy, fallen leaf nose. Dry, medium bodied, quite intense, smooth, slightly spicy, fallen leaf flavours with some nutty-plum notes on the lingering, slightly spicy finish…”

SCEA des Vignobles Faure Les Remparts de Bel Air 2016 (Kosher) +413666 $23.95

Deep red colour. Aromas of fresh red fruits with a hint of coffee. The palate is soft and well-balanced with ripe fruits. Delicate and velvety texture finish with a hint of spice.

Penmara White Ribbon Semillon 2018 +474031 $14.95

The bouquet shows lemon and citrus aromas, which follow through onto the palate with a tight minerally backbone that finishes with crisp acidity and a clean refreshing mouthfeel.

Food Pairing: All seafoods, or spicy Asian dishes. Also can be enjoyed with summer salads.
