2003 Château Du Chassagne-Montrachet En Pimont Michel Picard, Récolt. Chardonnay +110213 $49.95
Rated 92
“VC: This ’03 Chard has a very intense and appealing nose. Aromas suggest apple pie, pear, spice and Portuguese custard. On the palate, it’s a bit more restrained but in that very attractive way. This is a big wine with elegance and finesse. Full-bodied and long finishing. Enjoy it tonight. My note: An elegant, well-structured Chardonnay with ripe peach and pear, vanilla smoke and hazelnut. Opulent and satisfying. Perfect for outdoor dinner parties. Food matches: tuna steaks, grilled lobster tail, prawns.”
Nathalie MacLean, June 6, 2009 Vintages Releases.

2005 Col Solare Columbia Valley +20487 $89.95
(very limited quantities in selected stores)
Rated 94
“The 2005 Red Table Wine is composed of 71% Cabernet Sauvignon, 25% Merlot, and 4% Cabernet Franc. It also spent 27 months in new French and American oak. The 2005 vintage contains more Red Mountain fruit which may be why it is more structured and powerful; it’s also the case that 2005 is a superior vintage. The wine is purple-colored with notes of wood smoke, mineral, spice box, black currant and blackberry. On the palate, it is full-bodied and layered with the tannins well concealed. Reminiscent of a top level Pauillac, it will evolve for 5-7 years and provide pleasure through 2030.”
The Wine Advocate, #177, June 2008.

2006 Starmont Chardonnay, Napa Valley +27292 $28.95
Rated “4 1/2 Stars”
“Merryvale’s ‘Starmont’ line is value and fruit driven with this no exception. Aromas of spice box, tropical fruit and vanilla provide segue for a gorgeous attack of mouth-filling flavours. Expect copious amounts of succulent pineapple, white peach, melon and nectarine flavours on the generously textured palate. This is medium bodied, impeccably balanced sporting a lingering finish that layers on spiced poached pear flavour. (VH)”

2006 Megalomaniac The Pink Slip Rosé +85126 $14.95
Rated “3 1/2 Stars”
“Floral and spice on the nose, the flavour profile includes freshly sliced strawberry and plum compote. It’s light to medium bodied, nicely textured delivering a lip-smacking hit of sour cherry on the lingering finish. This pairs well with a plate of deli meats and assorted condiments. (VH)”
