Robert Oatley Vineyards marks Bob Oatley's return to the winemaking business. The winemaking company began in 2006, evolving from seven of the family's existing vineyard sites in Mudgee – properties that had been retained since the sale of Rosemount Estate.
Bob Oatley's homestead and home-block vineyard in Mudgee adjoin the historic Montrose property, comprising a superb vineyard and the region's largest winery, which was purchased in 2006 to serve as the family's winemaking headquarters. Two brands were immediately introduced: Wild Oats and Robert Oatley, closely followed by the re-launched Montrose range.
The first pair of Robert Oatley wines were launched in Australia in 2007. Soon after, six wines were introduced to the market in re-designed packaging, a concept that has been embraced for the new Australian range and the new company name – Robert Oatley Vineyards. In 2009, the James Oatley TIC TOK range was introduced.
The wines are made and distributed by Robert Oatley Vineyards within Australia, the United States and Canada. Along with a number of valued family members, including elder son Andrew (Sandy) who heads the business, Bob Oatley has augmented his trusted, highly experienced team with a carefully selected mix of new experts, combining experience, knowledge, innovation and enthusiasm to realise the long-term vision for Robert Oatley Vineyards.
"Our wines reflect both a proud winemaking heritage and contemporary, innovative Australian wine styles - crafted and bottled at the family estate in Mudgee, Australia.
I hope you enjoy drinking these wines as much as we enjoyed making them." Robert Oatley

Robert Oatley
The Modern Taste of Australia
Whilst Bob Oatley's winemaking mission – "to make the highest quality wine at the best possible price" – hasn't changed over the years, his marketing strategy has. Bob was convinced by his family and friends in the industry to name his prestige wine range after himself, Robert Oatley.
Robert Oatley wines are built upon the Mudgee region's most successful varietals: Chardonnay, Shiraz, Cabernet and Merlot, combined with grapes from three premier West Australian wine regions.
Bob just calls them "a darn good drink!"
James Oatley TIC TOK
TIC TOK, IT'S TIME TO DISCOVER A GREAT NEW WINE
James Oatley arrived in Sydney in 1815 and became Australia's pre-eminent clockmaker. His great-great grandson is vintner Bob Oatley who created TIC TOK wines as a tribute to him.
Produced at the Oatley family vineyards in historic Mudgee, these wines reflect old world wine influences as well as contemporary international tastes. The style is refined in structure and texture, detailed and generous in personality. Bob Oatley and his family are once again playing a key role in setting a new direction for Australian wine.
