CHÂTEAU DE NAGES
RHONE, FRANCE

Château de Nages

Situated in the heart of a Natura 2000 zone (an ecological network of protected areas of the European Union), this magnificent vineyard is organically farmed.

We are committed to protecting our ecosystem and using resources wisely. By combining ancestral know-how with modern techniques and with an absolute respect for the soil, we are also defending the diversity of indigenous fauna and flora, a sign of the improvement of our ecosystem.

The organic farming movement, for example, has the merit of expressing our commitment to nature. But we also realize that we must always keep a critical mind. For example, finding an alternative to copper is essential because the use of this heavy metal is an ecological absurdity.

Our vineyards are planted with typical Rhone varietals.  Syrah is a grape variety that excels in our terroirs. Grenache is reserved for the leaner soils that temper its natural exuberance. The Mourvèdre confers a striking spicy complexity. For the whites, certain parcels of our terroir have a predilection for Roussanne which offers great aromatic richness. Grenache Blanc rounds the blends with its crystalline mineral imprint.
